Whether you want to learn English to visit or to live in the United States, our English programs are comprehensive and customized to enable our students to acquire the language necessary for everyday living.

Our classes:

Our materials:

  • Are created by our Pedagogical Services Department in Bern, Switzerland
  • Supplement the language taught in class
  • Include a CD or cassette for additional reinforcement

inlingua programs are designed to focus on conversational English and can include grammar and accent reduction as needed. Prior to enrollment, students are assessed at no charge to determine the appropriate materials and course of study.

Each course may include work in some of the following areas or simply target one specific area:

General Purpose Program (GPP)

  • Presents English within everyday contexts
  • Embodies the inlingua method with its emphasis on the active involvement of the students in speaking and listening
  • Provides comprehensive opportunities for the development of reading and writing if desired

American Idioms
This course is for advanced speakers who want to understand and learn American idioms for:

  • Making an impression
  • Problem solving
  • Negotiation
  • Facing defeat
  • Effort
  • Ambition
  • Leisure
  • Arguing
  • Money
  • Gossip
  • Achieving success

Accent Reduction
This course focuses on problematic areas in:

  • Stress
  • Rhythm
  • Intonation
  • Blending
  • Vowels and consonants

TOEIC and TOEFL
These courses prepare students for the following components of the exams:

  • Listening
  • Structure
  • Written expression
  • Writing

Prior to the course, a diagnostic is given to ascertain problem areas that need to be targeted. A sample test is given at the end of the course.

Flexible Frequency Program (FFP)

  • Language learning at a relaxed pace
  • Morning, afternoon or evening lessons according to students’ schedules
  • Lessons at our center, your home or office

Crash Intensity Program: C.I.P.120®

  • Super-intensive training
  • Maximum progress within a short period of time
